Check in form for a Rome Airbnb??

I had this email from an Airbnb in Rome saying it’s time to check in and gave me this form. However it asks for passport number and ID number ? Is this required in Rome for hosts to need all this information ? I’ve never had to do that before having to fill out a separate form in addition to just using the Airbnb app? Jus wondering thanks !

@Thomas1604  Yes. This is the law in Italy [and many other European countries.] All rentals need to collect this information and then submit it to a government authority or keep on file.
