Cleaning fees

Are cleaning fees calculated daily or by the entire stay?

For example it makes sense to ask for a $10 cleaning fee from a guest that stays fro one day only.

But would you then expect $ 100 from a guest that stays 10 days or the same amount?

Airbnb only supports cleaning fees to be uploaded as a standard rate instead of one based on guest’s stay duration 

Personally wish it were the later as a longer stay requires more time as to ensure a suitable turnover etc, and maintain a certain level of cleanliness. However this is not the case... if I am wrong, I am sorry but this is what I have experienced so far.

I’m struggling with this because some people in the community have indicated applying cleaning fee as high as $50. If a guest is staying only for one night,  that already equals  the cost of the facility, for a one time cleaning!

But a guest who books for a month will need at least weekly cleanings.

This may be something the community needs to bring to the attention of Airbnb and see if they could find a fix it by providing flexible options.
