Co - host to hosting admin

Hi Airbnb community,

I am currently the hosting admin with a co-host. I need to remove myself from the listing to stop receiving messages and make the co-host the hosting admin. Any ideas on how to do this?

Hello @Ben117,

If you wish not to recieve communications about the listing you can go to your account settings and click on "Notifications".

Then uncheck all the boxes for which you don't want to receive messages, SMS texts, emails etc.

There may still be some types of notifications that Airbnb always sends to the admin, irrespective of these settings. For example, notifications or calls regarding urgent account issues.

From what I understand you can't make someone else the admin as the listing admin must be the person with legal responsibility for the listing. That is, they are the property owner.

Hi Steve,

I have a similar problem. Last year I posted the listing I manage on behalf of my mum who did not have an account nor did she know how to use airbnb. I made her a co-host and taught her everything I know. I would like her to be a host now (and listing admin) since she is actually the owner of the property, takes the payment and pays taxes. Can I switch the listing so that we do not lose all reviews and rating?
