Hi everyone,
I was hoping to gain some constructive criticism on my listing as I am new the Airbnb and would love to gain experience from all of you.

@Taj46Very nice cabin and thoughtfully decorated! I know you are just getting started and need reviews, but once your initial start-up period is over and you feel more established, you might want to check pricing in the area. I felt like your pricing was a little bit low for 3 people.
Lovely cabin, thoughtful touches... everything seems perfect, at least to me 🙂
I would just remove the part where you say Marijuana Dispensary will open soon nearby. This info could attract the wrong people, this is Airbnb ...
@Branka-and-Silvia0 Looking it over, I totally agree, I do feel it is unnecessary information to add and may even turn away some clients. I may have to redo that section as when I go to edit it, I can’t delete that detail because it my post is too long so in order for me to do so, I would have to delete almost all of that guide. Maybe I will just add separate pictures and redo that section.
Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it!

@Susan1404 Thank you for your feedback! I looked at the competition around the area and though we are the closest to the heart of downtown by 10 minutes (walking distance), a lot of these places hosting 2 people are listing for about $80 - $125 and Are all super hosts with a few hundred reviews.
my reasoning was to try and get more bookings this way to gain those reviews as peak season is around the corner and my listing is now on the second page when you search places in Golden, BC.
What are your thoughts on that reasoning? Do you think I’m overthinking it a little bit or leaving money on the table?
Thank you for your kind words and feedback!
@Taj46 I think your way of reasoning is quite sound. It is common advice here to keep things simple and inexpensive when you are first starting out. I wish you the best of luck with it.
I think your space doesn't have a common theme as far as design. I would also place the TV on the stand. The wires make it look messy. Because it's in the mountains, I would capitalize on that, the palm tree doesn't really fit.
Unfortunately the TV is just a tad too wide, and places it in front of the heater, making that part difficult.
I agree with the plant, it’s not very fitting. I figured it would help fill the warmness of the room. It seemed so empty without something there.
any suggestions for themes?
I don't know your area or what style in your area is popular, but I would start with why people visit your town. I'm assuming people visit Calgary for the outdoors. Your furnishings, paint and decor should have that flavor without looking like to cheesy. If you can't afford a you tv stand or tv, at least get those wire covers and paint to match the color of the walls. I would then hire a photographer just to put the icing on the cake.
Very nice listing, am not missing any vital information.
I would probably add a couple of photos of the outside of the cabin + the area around it?
Right! I didn’t even think of that!! That’s a great idea! Thank you so much
looks great to me. I'd maybe add some photos of outside and the area. More photos is always better than less.
I'd happily book.
Thank you! That means a lot to me. I am super excited to meet as many people from around the world as possible! I will definitely take some pictures of the outside and have them uploaded!
@Taj46 I think it's very cute. You might at least tape the wires together or put them in one of those wire covers, since the space is so small the wires do detract a little, you could also put a low bowl or tray w/some wooden fruit or something 'rustic' on that table that would distract the eye. I hope that palm can stay alive!
You could also add some colorful napkins on the kitchen shot to keep to the 'pop' of color that you do throughout. But, it looks very nice. I agree to add at least one shot of the exterior of the cabin or something on the outside of the property, drive, yard, something like that.
@Mark116 fantastic! Thank you. The tv is able to swing out so that is why the cords are loose, but I do have an idea to clean it up especially for the pictures.
love the wooden fruit idea/low bowl since the table is more of a rustic look, which is also a vibe we were looking to get.
brilliant idea with the colourful napkins! Thank you very much for your help!
