I recently had a guest who has caused serious damage to my home requiring replacement and someone skilled to come in to carry out the work. The guest has declined to pay and I have involved Airbnb. I have been given a case number but that was over two weeks ago and I have heard nothing more despite a promise that someone would be in touch very soon. I have sent numberous emails to the response team but have only had one back saying the query had been passed on. I really need to resolve the issue and would like to discuss this with someone from Airbnb but there seems to be no way to engage in a dialogue to move things on. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear about your situation, I know it can be frustrating. Give Airbnb a call. I know their number is very hard to find but the call staff are actually extremely useful. Just google their support line for your country and tell them your situation.

Thanks Helen, I did manage to find a phone number and have at least been able to speak to someone who says he'll move it on for me - we will have to see!
