Credit Transfer

Hi there,

I had a terrible experience staying at an Airbnb about a year ago and the host falsely posted a bad review on my profile because they knew a bad one was coming their way - Airbnb offered me a $200 credit but I have no interest in using airbnb anymore and unfortunately the credit is also expiring this month. Does anyone know if I can transfer the $200 credit to a friend to use? I am getting declined by other hosts because of the false review that the previous host posted on my reviews and so as a result, I cannot book anything that I like.

Please let me know if any of you know if I can transfer the credit to a friend.

Thank you!

Parul

@Parul5 it seems like you have 2 bad reviews from hosts with very similar problems. Did both hosts lie? And to answer your question, no you can't.

No, the first review was with a group trip with friends and it was very hard to coordinate. There was a language barrier in Cuba and a phone issue - If you are unaware, Cuba has no phone service unless you are connected to wifi in parks or with wifi cards so if we had to contact our host there, we had to wait till we were in wifi and hope they were also. Our host + driver were great but when traveling in a group, it is very hard to have everyone follow the directions.

Thank you for your helpful words - plus some more.
