Damage to Our Property

We recently had damage to our home due to a guests leaving the bbq unattended and food caught flames shot out the back which then melted the exterior siding our house.  I contact airbnb and was told to send request for funds via resolution centre which I did. Guests obviously isnt taking ownership. I clicked on button to expedite to airbnb and the claims said it wasnt covered due to faulty workmenship.  My house is 4 years old and if the guests didnt left unattended this wouldnt of happened.  Can anyone help was i can do next. Has this happened to any hosts? Why wouldnt this be covered under host protection Insurance? Please help

It sounds like the barbecue was too close to the house.
