Damages

Hi, can someone help and advise. I had a guest who used my studio last night and spilled full bottle of red wine over new duffet and pillows and right through to the mattress. Guests admitted responsibility for this. We have attempted to clean but has stained my stuff. Can someone help and advise.

You can use the resolution centre to ask the guest for compensation.

You could get estimates for replacement or professional cleaning and have them as evidance for the guest in the submission.

Take pictures documenting the damage and provide receipts for anything you can - the more documentation the better!

 

Go to the resolution center and open a ticket for the amount of damages.

Because you don't have a security deposit, payment will rely on the good graces of your guest accepting responsibility for damages, or Airbnb allowing you to claim under the Host Guarantee. Neither of these are as reliable as claiming against a security deposit, so think about adding that for future bookings.
