Dates blocked out

Great, was wondering why we hadn’t received any bookings for this coming Memorial Day weekend and turns out the dates were blocked out on my calendar!! Why does Airbnb block out dates if  possible guest sends in a request?  Now I’m sure I won’t get a booking this weekend at such short notice

@Janine116, if a guest sends a booking request it will hold up your calendar for 24 hour or until you respond. Did Airbnb block the dates because you did not respond to a request?
