Declining reservation problem: New dialog box

I have a pending reservation that I need to decline.

 

When I hit "decline," a new dialog box appears that says:

 

"Are you sure you want to decline xxx's request?"

 

"Guests put a lot of effort into choosing the right listing for their trip.

Review xxx's profile before you continue."

 

Then, when I still hit DECLINE, nothing happens. Same box keeps coming up.

 

I have never seen this particular dialog box before. Maybe it is a temporary glitch.

But we are unable to proceed at this point. Frozen, and unable to decline and move on.

While I haven't seen that issue with the "Decline" option, I have experienced, when using the Android app", an inability to pre-approve an inquiry or accept a reservation.

When I went to the website on my laptop I was able to complete the action.

 

If you're using the app perhaps you could try on a laptop or vice versa.

 

Type "contact airbnb" in the "Search the community" box on these forum pages where you posted your question. Scroll down a little in the list of suggestions that appears and click on the "Contact Airbnb: A Community Help Guide[UPDATED]" one. That lists phone numbers and ways to contact them via Twitter or Facebook.

Just to add to what @Steve143 has mentioned here. 

 

A few other hosts have been reporting a difficulty with the decline button not working, when they receive a booking request. They haven't mentioned the box popping up, but it could a related. In terms of the decline button, I have passed this back to the team, so they can look into this further. 

 

One host has mentioned it works for him, when using the app, therefore perhaps you could try doing that. Otherwise, I would recommend contacting our Support Team, who will be able to help with this.

@Michael242   Now that's a new one. There have been issues recently with people no being able to use the decline button on a computer/laptop, but for some using the phone app works. Did you actually click on the guests profile? Maybe they programmed it in a way that must be done first before you can decline. Very strange. If you can not decline via the phone app call so you do not get penalized by the clock.
