I have confirmed someone's reservation ....does that mean they are booked? My strick cancelation request is that they give 50% up front to secure the week. How do I enforce it & collect ?

@Marisa22, you've misunderstood the cancellation policy. It has nothing to with a confirmed booking, but comes into play only when a guest wishes to cancel a reservation.

When a guest makes a confirmed booking, there is no 'deposit'. The fee is paid upfront to AirBnb. AirBnB then transfers the amount to you, generally within 24 hours of a guest's arrival if you're using PayPal. It can take a little longer if you use a different payment method.

(In a long-term rental, the first month is paid to the host, and then AirBnB pays the host each consecutive month.)

I strongly advise that you study all of the sections in the link below in order to become familiar with how AirBnB works.

You'll definitely want to review the information on Hosting in the Help area. You've got it all wrong. It's worth investing some time on getting up to speed with your new venture.
