Discussing an event without a confirmed booking

Dear Hosts, 

I have a guest that wants to have an event in one of our villas. The villa is suitable for this and we would like to have the guest to book the accommodation. The guest wants to have more information and quotation about hosting this event. Because I have to send all information to the eventplanner this doesn't work really smooth. Any thoughts about this? I hear that some people make a booking for 10€ just to be able to exchange contact details? How does Airbnb think about this?
