Door broken by guests

I recently had three gests in my unit, and upon getting drunk and breaking my front door opened they went ahead and tried texting me about someone breaking into the unit and stealing their MP# player.  I was out of the country so my neighbor spoke to them to then find out they broke the door themselves because they were drunk.  Following i got a text saying "we'll pay for the damage.  We were drunk and brke the door".  After updatingt the unit owner on the issue, he advised the door needs to be aproved by the city and it would have to be replaced since a fire door cannot be fixed.   I have since spent countless hours on the phone researching for quotes and calling back airbnb requesting a replacement door + installation.  Airbnb has been requesting documents regarding cost of the door etc.  I have again spent the time to go to the door supplier and be in contact with him emailing back and forth documents that airbnb has requested in order to pay for the damages.  Afte submitting all the paperwork they denie payment because part of teh invoce had written on it teh cost of the installation by hand.  They requedsted new docuemtns i researched another company who would wirte in the cost of instalation and again after sendingt his to airbnb they declined payment. Since  I got airbnb involved it's been three weeks of emails, research, calls, a lot of waiting on the line for someoen to take note of what im saying since the case managers at airbnb are allowed to speak via phone. So at this time they alledged that their policy indicates that they only pay for damages inside the unit.  I mean really?  So now I'm supposed to use my own resources to have someone bring the door to the unit, pay the door and insnstal it because airbnb will not cover the door instaltion.  I need help! I am still sleeping with the door opened, i have not the means or expertise to purchase and instal a fire proof door up to cde witht the city of miami beach.  I have now requested to speak with the case manager's supervisor at airbnb - meanwhile my door i still broken - anyone can hep? [email address removed]

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your door, I imagine this must be frustrating. Have you requested money from your guests through the Resolution Center?

I'm afraid I am not part of the Airbnb Support Team so I do not have access to your account. I would recommend looking at this Help Article which explains how to use the Resolution Center to claim money for damages or otherwise contacting Airbnb support about this issue.

@Ofir2  I am confused.  I went to your listing and do not see that you have a listing on Air BNB.  However, there is only one review which is an automated review that you cancelled the reservation.  So, what's up?

Well, thanks for your reply but I don't know who you are. Anyway as soon as this whole problem started I removed my unit off the site.
