Erasing or editing saved responses.

We are permitted to use saved message responses but I have not been able to remove the ones I do not need or edit them to something I can use.  Does anyone have any information on doing this?

Hello @Roger111,

Go to your messages and click on any one of them.

Then click on "Use a saved message" and then on "Edit saved messages" at the bottom of the popup window.

You should then see an "Edit" and "delete" button for each of the messages that you've created.

When I tried it just now I had to click on "Use a saved message" again after clickng on "Edit saved message" for the popup window to appear. There seems to be some bug with the process.

I had problems with that to. When I click edit I get unpredictable outcomes. There is definetly a bug. Please find a way to access this feature from a menu. It would look more professional. It is so buggy it makes us send messages to our guests by mistake.

Please fix soon as this isa very helpful feature for those of us woho do a lot of business.

This is a forum where hosts help each other from their own experience. It is not the Airbnb support service and it's not monitored by them.

With the problems you describe you should contact Airbnb support.

Suggestions for improvement can be made in the "Host Voice" section of this forum. If enough others give a suggestion the thumbs up Airbnb will consider it.

You can only delete saved messages from the desktop version. The apps only allow you to edit but sadly not delete!

but how do you access and delete saved messages on the desktop version?

 Go to your inbox. Click on the message that you wish to respond to. You will see  two choices one is to type a message and then send it as a reply, the other is use a saved message.

Tap ‘Use saved message’ -  this is highlighted in green. You will then see any saved messages that you have composed. At the bottom of this page you have a choice you can either click save a new message and then compose one and save it Or you can opt for the other alternative which is ‘edit save messages’ When you click this link it will take you to your saved messages where you can see that you can either edit them or indeed delete them

This is so clunky and ridiculous. We are all using the Airbnb smart phone app to manage messages and yet there’s no simple delete function when the message is clogging up everything.

its annoying that we have to scroll through all saved messages to get to the one we want too.

cant Airbnb have a collapse/title function so it’s more compact and less time consuming? Time is money.

Absolutely agree - it’s very clunky for mobile devices
