Extended stays

We need advice on what to do if a guest are checked in and request to extend their stay with one night. We have a normal cleaning fee which is always included in a booking to clean upon check out. If they book online for the additional night, the  cleaning fee is included again. How do we handle such requests in future and/or is there something we need to do from our side?

@Mike-and-Janet1  go to your reservation, click on "Change or cancel" then on "change reservation" and then just extend their stay for as many days needed.

You can also request additional money through resolution center as @Rowena29  suggested but then Airbnb will not know your guest extended his stay and it could be a problem in case of any damages for example.

My proposition is to reduce the cleaning fee from your listing price and when your guest books, you could return your price listing with its cleaning fee.

Thank you for the confirmation, thought it might be the only option.  Two guest reviews will then be required. It is just a pity that a guest cant edit their booking whilst checked in, would be less admin on hosting side.

I'm not experienced at this but couldnt' you just send a request for money and block the next day on your calendar? - that would mean you didn't need to fiddle with your listing settings

Regards

Thank you for advice, will put it to the test next time

Thank you this is most helpful.

I'm so glad you asked this question, I had the same one.  I just made the update and it worked perfectly.
