We've run across an extenuating circumstance with a long term rental of 29 nights, coming up in <60 days. We stayed with the host last year and have been told that the long term rental policy means that we lose all of the money.
It does seem a bit unfair given the personal situation that we're facing to be lost all of that money. We know that it's no fault of the host, but it is also no fault of us as the guests.
The extenuating circumstance policy states that we should contact AirBnB, but doesn't say how or indicate where to file a claim.
We expect a bit of resistance from the host and want to know how to handle it, but have no way of contacting AirBnB directly.
