Extra security questions before I get paid

Hi as I have been a host with brilliant ratings can any one explain why I should be asked to download my picture and link this to my bank details in order to get paid even though Airbnb have been paid and guest taken their holiday.

to me this sounds like scam as it places a further risk to my security should Airbnb be attacked by cyber crime

am I being over precautious ?

@James1297 As you have no airbnb listings or information connected to your pictureless profile its difficult to know what part of the world you are in.

Its not a scam, its international banking regulations.
