I have an situation, has anyone had this. I offered to buy my guest two ferry tickets. I ask them to pay for them through site as asking for other form of payment is not allowed. The guest paid and airbnb told me they woudl pay me in 5 to 7 workdays.

money has not come and i asked for it. they say they dont pay untill guest checks out... but expect me to pay the tickets full two months ahead of time, guest pay airbnb and they stay with money. if guests cancels i get stuck with the cost of tickets...

You won't get any money until your guest has arrived and been with you for around 24 hours - then any money owed to you will be released. I can understand your concern - but for guests it would be the same if the handed over money to someone months before a booking, and it was then cancelled. They may have no way of getting that money back.
