Freezing payout

Freezing payout

Ive had guests recently that altered their booking and extended their stay with an extra day. But that alteration made an error in the system so the payment for the extra day did not go through. As a result Airbnb is freezing my payment until they collected the rest of the amount from my guests that has already checked out.

Has anyone else tried this before? And how long does it take before I will receive my payment? I feel cheated as it is not my fault the error was made.

@Christie94 yep, I 've had this happen.

ABB had $300 in hand, but released none of it bc they had failed to collect a $100 addition. It's a very bad system.

In my case, the manager (from the department that doesn't have phones or return messages....) NEVER contacted me and I was not paid until the review period closed and the guest found out that they had been reviewed poorly for non-payment. Once I contacted the guest myself, they paid and a few days later ABB paid me.

No one would ever confirm if I'd have ever been paid the $300 if the $100 was never collected.

It's a very poorly run setup

Thx so much for your reply. It is a very bad set-up! I hope they will do something about it.

I was told by the customer service that they contacted that is working on collecting the payment. I also contacted the guests and explained my situation. They were very understanding saying that ABB has been in touch with them. They were told that someone from another department will contact them about the payment, but they have not heard from ABB again 😞

I just hope that I will get the payment after the review period is over.
