Dear Donor,
We would like to thank you again for your support during a very busy hurricane season this year! Without the support of people like you the amount of work and relief would not have been possible. The men and woman who donated housing, food, supplies, financial support and equipment simply blew us all away, but more so were the volunteers who gave of themselves. These men and woman stepped away from their jobs, families, homes and communities most spending $100's and $1000's of their own money in order to help those in need and this is what brings me to this reason for this letter.
The community has asked how they could say thank you or repay those who gave so much when they themselves are still trying to recover? It was asked of myself if I could reach out and request for donations of "Thank you" to be offered to those who worked tirelessly to take of everyone else and asked for nothing in return.
If you are willing and able, we are asking for donations of vacation time, gift cards, or activities that the volunteers could use to simply relax and breath. A gift of time, relaxation and just pure enjoyment of an activity. If you or any other person in your community are willing and able to give back please contact me with the details. These can be anonymous or we can arrange for a face to face meeting with the volunteers that you are so graciously thanking for their service and dedication.
