Getting payment when number of guests changes after reservation begins

Hello,

The day before his reservation began, my guest asked for one additional guest. I did a reservation change which he did not accept. He is still booked for one more night. airbnb will not allow me to to a second request for money now that the reservation date is past. I trust the guest and don't want to offend him. Does anyone know how I can get payment through official airbnb means before he leaves?
