Guest Cancellation

Good day to you. 

I have a guest that contacted to book two days starting tomorrow and then noticed after booking that our casita is in a different city/country. Oops.

So the gentleman cancelled the reservation and I'd like to give him his money back. 

I searched airbnb and it says " To refund a guest before their check-in date, go to Your reservations on airbnb.com, select a reservation, and clicking Issue refund.

 

I use airbnb.ca (Canadian) and I can't find the issue refund?

@Karen-and-Pernell0  If he is cancelling within 48 hours of making the booking, he'll get his refund automatically from Airbnb. So be careful- he could get a refund and then you send him a refund as well. 

So if you know for sure he won't be refunded by Airbnb, go to your Reservations page, click on Details on the right side of the guest's reservation. Scroll way down just below "Email guest". You'll see "Send or Request Money". Click on that and it will lead you through the process.

If the guest is past the 48 hours for full refund, make sure to let the guest know that all you can refund is the amount you receive for the booking- Airbnb retains its fees if after 48 hours and the host can't be expected to refund that part.
