Guest Cancellations

The new Host Cancellation Policy raised an issue I have been thinking about.   We pay to have our guest accommodation cleaned.  If a guest cancels their booked period we often don't get the cleaning fee.   I think, unless it is a major life changing situation, hosts should receive the cleaning fee from the guest that has cancelled, by right.  Thoughts/comments?

@Robert1173   I am not sure I agree with this.  Obviously we always clean etc prior to guests arriving, if a guest cancels last minute the property is still ready and clean for the following guests with a light dusting possibly required.  If a guest cancels well in advance there should be no issue at all.

I agree with @Kate867  and also, all hosts don’t charge a cleaning fee.
