Isn’t it a requirement that all Airbnb guests register on-line when they book? Most often the original registration of my guests are for the correct number of people coming so the $ amount is correct, but often only one person actually registers their name and the other person(s) doesn’t/don’t. Then I just see Guest 2 or 3 without names. I have to then ask them to have the additional guests register with Airbnb so I know their names. This happens a lot with husbands and wives.
@Doreen87 Unfortunately Airbnb does not enforce a policy that all guests staying need to be registered. They allow a guest booking for a group of people without even providing those guests name.
Once as a guest myself, I booked a place in Airbnb for a group including me. In the confirmation, it does provide option to fill out all guests names and their emails. But they are optional.
Registering guests in the group is for the convenience of the group leader or booking guest, not for the host. Air BNB registered guests can be copied on all communication between host and booking guest. Great idea and helpful but not required.
I ask booking guest to provide the full names of the guests that are in the party. All have complied thus far.
