Hello All,
I'm new at hosting w/ AirBnb. Thus far my reservations are steady. My guest(s) have signed my log and added wonderful and beautiful comments about their stay, etc. Problem is, they don't leave reviews (simple star selection) actually on AirBnb site. I've messaged them with a thank you and P.S. Thank you for taking time to review your stay on AirBnb. I've reviewed guest(s) as the profile pops up requesting, and yet, even with delightful comments written in log from the guest they don't follow through with even the simplest effort of selecting stars.
Any suggestions at how to encourage guest(s) to follow through?
I gretly appreciate feedback.
Thank you.
@Cynthia467 How about " Knowing that other hosts look at guest reviews when deciding whether to accept a booking, I will be leaving a review for you, as I do for all my guests. Please understand that reviews are also important for hosts so that prospective guests can see how you felt about your stay and continue to book with me. Thank you in advance for taking the time to write a review, I really will appreciate it."
Thank you Sarah. I'll give this statement a try.

@Cynthia467, A good number of my guests leave me reviews (85%) and I stress in my welcome binder how important reviews are for the Airbnb community. I've had a few guests about 5 or 6 who have left me nice detailed 'thank you' cards. It was very nice but these guests never left a review. Maybe they think it’s redundant to do both? I'm not sure but I think some guests show their appreciation in other ways ... gifts, tips, cards, nice message in a guest book, etc. and they don't think of the online review as necessary. Maybe?
