Guest info sheet

What kind of key information should you put in your information sheet for when guests arrive. Is this best to print it or is it best to email the information.

can anyone share an example of what they use please

Hi @Anya42

I have a printed house manual for my guests in a spiral bound folder with plastic sleeves so I can easily update the manual.

I've found a lot of guests don't read the online house manual & international guests don't have data roaming so can't access information about wifi etc online. And as a guest myself I've found it a pain to access copious information via the app when I'm travelling.

My house manual has a reminder of the house rules on the first page and the wifi details underneath. The rest is broken down in the following categories:

1. Emergency information (fire/ambulance/police phone numbers), where the closest hospital/emergency department is, fire blankets/extinguisher/evacuation procedures for my apartment building.

2. House info - where to find things in the kitchen & the guest bathroom. How to use the washing machine. Where extra blankets/pillows/towels are stored. A reminder how to lock & unlock the front door (I put this in after multiple guests would leave the door unlocked).

3. Maps of the local area & public transport information.

4. Current 'what's on in Melbourne' tourist information and brochures on any walking tours/day trips etc that previous guests have been on and enjoyed.

Some hosts also have local restaurant menus or recommendations in their house manuals. I'm an on-site host so I don't have this, I prefer to ask my guests what their dining preferences & budgets are and then provide them with more personalised information about where to eat and drink.

I hope this helps.
