Guest wants to change reservation to next month... how do I go about this?

Hi there, 

We're new Airbnb hosts.

I have a guest who is unable to make their booked dates in August. They have asked if they can change their reservation to the same number of nights in September instead. How do I go about arranging this? Do I ask them to cancel and re-book? What about the cut that Airbnb take for their first booking, is that lost in the process? Would really appreciate any advice on this.

Just ask them to change the reservation to the new dates, @Rebecca975 . Then they don't lose their Airbnb service fee. Tell them to look for the Change or Cancel button, then to alter the dates.

You can do it for them if they complain they cannot find the button. But best if they do it themselves so there is no back-and-forth about getting the right dates.
