Guests Requested Cash for Discount

I have recently had a guest request "cash" for a discount.  After numerous messages, in the area of 30 plus!  She changed rooms three times, indicated she was highly allergic to cats and dogs, I have both.  I suggested it may not be the place for her, she stated oh no her husband loves animals.  Requested the room and bedding be completely sanitized so no pet dander or fur is in the room.  She said her husband was a Veteran and wanted a discount.  After applying the discount, she changed rooms and then requested I just give her the cash.  Also is coming during Christmas.  I am very uncomfortable with this guest, she kept indicating in the messages, it was okay if I wasn't there, they would treat my home like their own.  I live in a highly popular ski resort, a house rental at Christmas is non exisistent at this point and would have cost her thousands of dollars.  So I'm unsure what to do.  I feel she may start complaining about the animals upon arrival and I do not want my Christmas ruined.  Thoughts?

@Lisa1539 This guest will NOT become any better...

Call CS and have AIRBNB cancel her 2nd trip as soon as possible. Reason:

You feel uncomfortable (everything else will result in a punishment against you)

and refer to her own health issues, messages and  complains

Notify the guest and again refer to her own complains.

Re-List your place and get a HAPPY-Camper.

I got this right? You agreed to a discount after they complained the last time?

So if yes, and if it was THIS BAD for them, why they even want to come back.

Do them a favour and let them find something else.  😉

@Lisa1539 I would have Airbnb cancel her for the fact that she is asking you to swindle deals outside of Airbnb. This is frowned upon. Call CS and tell them you feel uncomfortable with her because of this and have them cancel her reservation right away so she can find a new space.

I agree, I would try to get airbnb to cancel on your behalf, tell them you are uncomfortable with the guest due to the requests around a cash discount and that you are fearful that there may be a health problem due to the presence of your pets and the guests stated allergies.

You already know this guest will be a nightmare, so if you can stop her from coming, you should.

Thank you!  She has been cancelled, a little disappointed with the initial CS response.  "Well she hasn't actually received the cash yet", no but she requested it.  Also something they are probably not aware of, because she notified me and through Airbnb that she had a severe allergy to cats and dogs, should something happen, their insurance would not cover it.  Learned that trick in the restaurant business.  If a guest said, "I have a life threatening allergy to 'whatever'"  My insurance would never cover a loss, so I could not serve that person.

Did you ask her why, if she has severe allergies to cats and dogs, did she book a place that has both a cat and a dog on the property?
