Guests credit card not processed yet

A couple new to airbnb requested my place for the 4th to the 6th.  I recieved the inquiry but then they told me that their credidt card had yet to be accepted.  They now want to reserve my place starting this Tuesday for 6 days.  However, airbnb has apparently not finished processing them.  What is going on?  Why would it be taking so long?

No way of knowing, could be many issues.
