Hearing for winter months?

Does everyone just offer room heating in the winter or do you provide hot water bottle, electric blanket under the bed etc or are there safety concerns with these? Thank you

@Jennifer1955 we have a heated towel rail, an electric "woodburner" and an oil filled radiator so a device in each room.

Its a big space though and we've guests booked for December so further thought needed.

Hot water bottles are a good idea.

@Jennifer1955  A lot of people have safety concerns about electric blankets, heating pads, and space heaters, although these are much safer than they used to be. Most guests are going to prefer to use central heating to keep the room at a desirable temperature rather than spot heating, because let's face it - they are on holiday, and they don't have to pay your energy bill.

It's OK to place limitations on heating usage, but they should be disclosed in the listing. Providing lower-impact alternatives for heating is a nice option for guests who are more environmentally conscious or who prefer cooler temperatures. Also, any improvement that can be made to the home's insulation before winter begins is money well spent.

Thank you it just made me wonder as it’s been boiling in the U.K. and our first international guest said it was freezing and they hadn’t bought jumpers coats etc with them which we lent them to go out in the end! Even though I was sweating in shorts. So wondered if worth leaving something additional they can control as it were. I have also an electric plug in radiator I might leave that in the cupboard as extra
