Hello, dear community, I've got a lovely couple from Spain booked to stay with me from 18-22 April. Unfortunately, I now have a sick relative staying with me long term, so I won't be able to put them up.
Is there anyone with a one bedroom flat, ideally in London, who could host them?
Thanks!
Alfred
Maybe you could also ask Airbnb to relocate them, due to your special circumstances.

Alfred, you can as Emiel suggest ask Airbnb to help relocate Guest.
However, Airbnb tend to this for last minute cancellations, not 2 months down the line.
There is plenty of time for the Guest to find another place.
However, a couple of caveats:
1) From experience, I would strongly advise you to let the Guest choose a place of their own rather than you trawling on their behalf. It can prove to be a monumental waste of time:
a) You will effectively be undertaking a 3rd party search on behalf of someone you've never even met.
b) The Guest knows what they are looking for better than you. They can easily find another place just as they found you.
c) Hosts often do not like to be contacted by other Hosts in this way. They much prefer to be contacted by the Guest themselves, precisely because they want to deal with the actual person interested to stay in their place.
2) Once an alternative is found, you will need to negotiate the Cancellation according to your policy which I see is Strict.
Again a number of points to take into consideration:
a) You should not Cancel under any circumstances, because you will be financially penalized and receive an automated Cancelation notice in place of Review.
b) If the booking took place less than 48 hrs ago the Guest can cancel with full refund.
c) If longer than 48 hours, Guest stands to lose 50% of Rent + Airbnb 'service fee'.
However, you can offer the Guest the other 50% of your Rent. But they would still lose 'service fee'.
The best solution is to contact Airbnb to Cancel with 'Extenuating Circumstances'. In this case, Airbnb will require a medical certificate proving the illness of your relative. If Airbnb is satisified a full refund will be issued.
Nevertheless, you may still encounter one problem, that is judging by your calendar which currently shows that your listing seems to be intermittently booked for the next couple of months, with free dates still available. Prima facie it doesn't seem to square with your story of a sick relative who is staying with you long term.
