Help - how can I prevent a no show from giving me a bad review?

I have a guest who told me this morning she couldn’t catcher her flight and wasn’t coming. She had a week long reservation as of today. She contacted by whatsapp. I asked her to cancel and to comunícate with me via Airbnb platform but she never did. She just said she didn’t want to cancel because she would lose the discount on her next . I just don’t t want to have a bad review from her. This is a new listing and I need good reviews. What should I do to prevent her from reviewing me? How do I let Airbnb know she is a no show?

You can't prevent a guest from leaving you a review (see Airbnb Help Centre - reviews to help you understand how reviews work on the platform).

 

Message the guest back via Airbnb and say you are sorry to hear that she will no longer be staying with you as she had missed her flight. And that if she wishes to cancel, this would be done in line with with cancellation policy she has booked under.

 

I don't really understand the point about the guest not cancelling because she would lose her discount?

 

You don't need to let Airbnb know separately.
