Does Airbnb serve as a middle man for long term rentals? I found an apartment for rent but was told it’s managed through Airbnb because she lives in NY

@Ashley659  THIS IS A SCAM. Do not send this person any info about yourself, and certainly don't send any money. Airbnb does not work like this. There are no Airbnb agents who manage the property, give you keys, or arrange inspections. This person is a scammer and  criminal. There are pages and pages of posts here on the forum with exactly the same scam, the same email wording. Do a search for the threads on this here. type "Scam listing" or "Is this real?" into the search engine.
