Hi. I'm trying to create a listing. What does publish mean? I haven't set my prices yet!

I'm a new host and trying to prepare my listing. There hasn't been an option to to set nightly prices or add a cleaning fee but it's ready to publish. If I publish at this stage what's the next option?

@Niki51 “Publish” means you are ready to go live and start taking bookings.

You can always go back into your listing and ad the cleaning fees and set the rates after it’s live.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I thought that was it but I would prefer to set everything up first before I publish. I am only able to set up 1 default night price but the charges will vary according to the month of booking and I’d like to get all the details right before I publish.

I also want strict cancellation but it won’t let me amend it from flexible. Thanks for your help.

If you are having trouble in the pre-publishing stage, @Niki51 - and yes there are some things that are alterable only after you publish - then publish it and immediately snooze it. You snooze by going to Listings -> Edit, then scroll down to Listing Status. Hit Edit there and then choose Snoozed in the dropdown.

While it is snoozed, you can set everything up without worrying that it will get booked at a rate or cancellation policy you do not want.

That is really helpful. Thank you. Airbnb haven’t ask for my payment details yet either so it seems premature to publish but I’ll use the snooze if there is no other way of editing pre publishing. Thanks again.
