Hi, My property is super difficult to find & is not visible on the site. Any suggestions?

I have had various friends try to search for our property & it doesn't appear, even why typing in the name of our (tiny) town into the search. Any suggestions on how to make it appear on the map?

Hi Laura,

I’m having the same problem.  Airbnb says they deliver results based on Google Maps. However,  Airbnb is delivering results outside of my town,  county and state before they show my listing.

They said they’ve looked into the issue and there’s nothing they can do.  I asked if they can escalate my concerns to their tech department because HomeAway seems to have been able to figure it out. 

The next notification I got was that my case was closed.

Not clear which listing you are talking about, as you own two listings.

They are positioned in the search system like this:

Hi Emie,

Thanks ,but Firefly is tiny and there are only a couple of other Airbnb properties there, so number 4 isn't great.   When you search for the next town, Nabiac,   (13 kms away).   Our place doesn't appear and dozens of places from 50kms away come before ours.

@Laura3079  This is exactly an issue of Airbnb search ranking on the map. It is not an issue with Google map because your property does show up on the map.

I have found this issue and suggested to Airbnb through their feedback link long time ago. But Airbnb still keeps doing this way. Their search ranking put many irrelevant homes which are more than 50 miles away in different cities  on the map while those properties in the city typed in the search not appearing. This cause a lot of inconvenience for guests to find a property which is close to the search location.

Therefore, in order for a guest to find a property close to the city they search for, the guest has to zoom in a few times to find all properties in the city or close to the site searched for.

Please send feedback to https://www.airbnb.com/help/feedback. Hopefully they will change it after many hosts complain about the issue.

Why should it show in Nabiac... seems Krambach is closer and it shows on page 4 out of 188 listings for Krambach.

For me, a search i AirBnB for Firefly NSW, your place shows up as 9th listing of 42... seems great to me!

I agree. Try searching on someone else’s device. Act as if you are looking for listings in that region, apply filters. You’ll see it shows up.

Maybe I missed it, but I think I did not see any mentioning of your website in your AirBnB listing!!

You can not link direct, but still write:

See more on our website ★Candlarah Farm, Firefly NSW, Australia★ 

And the same goes for your website...no link to AirBnB!!!

You already have a brand... Candlarah Farm and then your are using Relaxing Country Escape - Entire House & property as title in AirBnB.

Who can remember Relaxing Country Escape - Entire House & property in 5 minutes... if it was me, I use Candlarah Farm, Firefly NSW, Australia.. not that it have any effect in AirBnB search, but in Google Search it has and even you forget Candlarah, I would remember Farm, Firefly, Australia..and in Google Search, your farm shows up first.

And why is your farm not on Google Map?

Well, it was not really your question, but maybe you can use some of it to be more visible outside AirBnB
