Hi all

Hi all,

I’m finding with fake tan that my sheets are getting ruined. Even if it looks like it’s come out it leaves them very yellow (I use white linen)

I’ve never complained or billed a guest but I’ve had to throw new towels away because of tan/make up and my sheets don’t come up anywhere near as white as I’d want.
Any cleaning tips would be appreciated.

thanks!

Hayley

@Hayley145  I use white sheets too and so far I’ve been lucky and have not had to deal with this. I Googled and found this link that may help

Once the fake tanner has dried on the sheet it sets permanently.  You can try bleaching the sheet.  That will remove all/most of the stain but will damage the sheets. I have an entire large storage box filled with sheets rendered unusable by orange-hued guests.

I now have a House Rule that specifically mentions fake tanner stains and states that the guest will be charged for any damaged items.  Haven't had any problems since.

It's a problem for sure, another one is spray tan when you wash anything it turns pink, Hot water wash and Baking soda does get it out,

We dont have a problem with fake tan here in Phuket,
