Hello
So far I hosted a little and also was a guest through airbnb and I had only good experiences.
Actually my travel experiences as a guest were very very good mostly.
So just recently I was in spain and one host cancelled my stay (in advance) and I quickly had to book something new, since it was high season....I found one NEWLY LISTED place and there was not much to go on (no reviews). The pics looked ok and the profile only said " we are VERY orderly and very clean"..so i assumed it will at least be clean and the location was great too..lol
Well the whole experience was not so good.Bad impression as i am 100% sure i got USED sheets and an old, terribly stained pillow without cover , dirty undies crotch-side up in the bathroom hamper, as well as in the kitchen (?) LOL..clutter everywhere, younger sister entered our room since she had some personal stuff in there (leaving us on the edge cause you can hardly say dont go in my room, when it is not your own room) then topped up with the night of love makin by the host till 2 am, including loud moaning and SLAPPING of butts ! LOL I mean who does that-or am i being stuck up? LOL
OK so place was dirty-especially if you say you are so clean on your profile...but host was an ok person to deal with....
I was NOT even going to leave any review. Imean you leave a bad review and get a bad one back? right? BUT NOW the host left me a review...so i dont know what i should do. Be honest?
I mean I would not "damage her business" since she is only renting the room for the summer while her roommate is away...but if she left a review already and i also leave one..(an honest one)...will she have the opportunity to then add anything?
@Franziska13 leaving a bad review does not guarantee getting a bad review back. Airbnb does not publish review until both host and guest write their review or the 14 days review period has passed.
She can respond to your review which will be visible on her profile.
Would you have been helped had a previous guest left an honest review?
You have your answer, but up to you whether you'll help a future guest.
exactly that is why i want to write a "bad " review...and yes. i would have been helped. LOL
I think reviews should be honest. BUt it is a little bit of "eye of the beholder"...
I mean i stayed at awesome hotels which people had left terrible reviews for and vice versa...
PLUS the girl was nice-ish...(not everything about it was a nightmare) but yea...honest it should be..
