Hi @Werner-and-Eileen0
Welcome to the community boards.
Unfortunately these boards are full of stories of hosts feeling that they have been inappropriately and /or unfairly treated by airbnb when it comes to using the host guarantee. There are also some who feel they have been very reasonably treated.
When you sign up, airbnb does also encourage you to take out your own insurance. If you had a personal injury claim for example, the host guarantee, even if it were honoured, would not be sufficient ( 20 million is the recommended cover for personal and public liability)
so it's a really good idea to take out a form of landlord insurance as well as your home and contents insurance to ensure you are covered for all eventualities.
In Australia, I'm pretty certain Terri Scheer, Suncorp and Westpac all offer this for short term rental, just to name a few.
You might also want to join the relevant facebook page for Brisbane airbnb hosts, where you can ask local specific questions ( although often the advice is not as experienced as you will get on this community)
Good luck!
Regards
