Host asks me to re-book an expired request but same dates no longer available? Waiting time?

Hi AirBnB Community,

 

My host was too slow to accept my request and sent me an email saying so! Not a problem for me as different time zones can be an issue with timings! She asked that I re-book as she'd very much like me to stay. However, when I go to re-submit my request for the same dates I actually can't as the calendar has them booked off. I am guessing that this is some kind of penalty for the host for not acepting or decliing my request in the time allowance.

 

How long do I have to wait until the dates become available again to book?

 

As a side note, my lovely host-to-be is obviously not the best with computers so asking them to unblock the dates manually or send me a special offer etc, I think, is out of the question.

@Rachel235 You host will need to contact Airbnb to free up the dates, unfortunately.  Or, you can ask Airbnb to unblock the dates if your host can't figure out how to contact Airbnb.  Go to:
