Host cancellation question

I just received a message from my host that he has to cancel our reservation for a month from now.  I told him to put forward the cancellation so that I am not charged the service fee.  How long will it take for me to receive my refund from AirBnB?

@Sharon704 sorry you've been cancelled on.

Its usually within 10 days or if you find another place to stay on airbnb, customer service will transfer the funds to the new booking and possibly give you a 10% discount.

Thanks Jeff - I just got confirmation of the cancellation. After this host cancellation (my first ever) Not sure if I will book AirBnB this close to our departure date (in May).  The Host cancelled because they got notice from their landlord that no more short-term rentals will be allowed in the building.

This kind of thing is on the rise...think we'll look for a hotel.
