i replaced the key then after I checked out he requests money from me? When he didn’t say anything about charging me , he just told me to replace it which I did.
If you lose the key it's fair enough for the host to ask you to replace it and pay for it @Kamran10
What are all the 'favours' you have been doing for the host.
Hopefully you have kept all communications regarding this on Airbnb. If you feel the host is asking you to cover costs that were not incurred with replacing the keys, then you can dispute it through Airbnb's resolution centre.
He told me to go to multiple places to try to get a duplicate and I did get a duplicate then he said everything is good until I checked out.
That fact that you could get a replacement key so easily he probably thought it wise to change the lock which he now want you to pay for, which under the circumstance is not unreasonable.
If someone should find that keys and do something bad after you checked out, should the host stand all of the cost?
