Host requesting all guests date of births

Hi all,

I've just received an email from a potential host to say that I can go ahead and book for myself and 4 guests over the XMAS break.

they have requested all guests dates of birth for 'Insurance Purposes' which I find very odd.

Has anyone had this request from a host at all?

keen to find out ASAP.

Hello @Bella24. Maybe they have an insurance policy that covers only adults? 😉

But seriously, a host has a right to request details on the other guests in the group or adding them to the reservation (then they must have airbnb accounts each). Only adults can book through airbnb, so the request of that host does not surprise me.
