Hello.
6 days after check out - I left feedback for host. Feedback was overall good, I only "complain" about secutiry cameras. I seen in description this info about video monitoring, but I didn't expect cameras inside the house, even in bedroom. So, I leave my honest review and I see hosts feedback for me - "(my name) and his group have left the impeccable house they have forgotten between throwing away the garbage but this little detail we will not take into account for being so clean and very careful. You are invited for when you want to come. 100% recommendable!!!."
and some hours after my feedback host requesting money - "You forgot to pay eco tax, cleaning fee and you also forgot to throw your garbage bag away. So please pay 104 euros."
Ok, we forgot to throw rubbish bag, my fault. But this is OK to request money after I left feedback?
OMG why did you stay in a listing with camera's inside your bedroom and other rooms in the house @Elina51
This is against Airbnbs T&Cs and could/should result in the host being thrown off the platform. Please call Airbnb and flag this with them now. I do hope you took photos at the time and raised it with the host as a concern during your stay.
The host cannot asked you for eco fees and cleaning fees outside of Airbnb - if he wanted to charge these they should have been in his house rules and the cleaning fee should have been charged when you booked.
He can't charge you for not taking a bag of rubbish out of the apartment.
Just respond to the host on the platform and remind him he is not allowed to charge an eco fee (what is that) and a cleaning fee which wasn't disclosed on the listing and wasn't charged when you booked.
Thank you for answer @Helen3
I read about cameras after booking, but I expected outside the house, not inside. We discovered this when arrived.
After my review, host responded - "haha, cameras not working. they only serve in case the alarm is activated." But how can I know that?
And, yes, I have little video with camera/alarm system from common room.
Ah It's a shame you didn't take footage of the one of the bedroom, but as the host hasn't disclosed inside camera's at all, you should report him to Airbnb.
Please call Airbnb now @Elina51 , this is not appropriate.
@Elina51 Please, please report this host to Airbnb. "The cameras only work if there's an alarm" sounds like absolute BS to me, and who puts cameras in a bedroom? This isn't okay. The Airbnb rules forbid cameras in bedrooms and bathrooms, whether they've been disclosed or not.
@Alexandra316 I messaged AirBnb about this property and situation about cameras, money requests.
What's happen if I decline to pay this money?
@Elina51 The host would need to get Airbnb involved, and they could take the money from your credit card or other payment method on file if they're in agreement that the charges are warranted. I wouldn't pay: if they want to involve Airbnb, let them go that route.
if you decline or ignore his request he may involve Airbnb to mediate.
But, as others have said - charging cleaning fee outside or after the booking is not allowed. And he also can't charge you for not throwing the trash ( I assume his listing is not on some deserted place where nobody will come in next xx months)
Regarding cameras they are allowed in common spaces only (like hallways, exterior...) but not in the bedroom or bathroom. It doesn't matter if cameras are turned on or off.
He broke 2 Airbnb rules 1) trying to charge you fees not mentioned upfront and 2) cameras in the bedroom and this is enough to be delisted from Airbnb forever.
I don't think he is aware of this.
That’s little bit funny - I can’t leave honest review on airBnb. If I write bad feedback or I mention things which host didn’t expect, host starts demand “missing” fees.
Im little bit sad about this host, because we like house, everything was fine until today, when host requesting me money after my feedback.

Don't worry @Elina51, by reporting this host for cameras they will be shut down in a matter of days. I would assume the request for funds would then be void.
@Elina51 just seconding the advice above: this host is breaking at least two Airbnb rules; please report/flag the host and listing, and do not pay.
Hello.
Update from my side - today host involved Airbnb on this case.
