Hosting in Mexico

I have been renting my place in Mexico since last March.  I got my Mexican residency but I don't have an RFC number.  AIRBNB have been holding back 20% income tax on all my rental.  Is it better to leave it at that or get an RFC number and hire an accountant to do my earnings and expenses every month?  Is the savings worth the headache every month?

Hi @David8364,

Welcome to the Community!

Since this is a global space, you might have a better chance of getting replies to your question if you search for local groups here: https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Get-Local/ct-p/en_clubs

Alternatively, you can post a topic about it in the Spanish speaking Community. This way, you're more likely to find Hosts in the area who can advise you.

I hope this helps 🙂

Liv
