Hi there
I'm thinking of listing my 3 bedroom house in the south side of Glasgow
Thing is I have two (very friendly and pretty self suffiecent) cats
They have a cat flap so just come and go as they please
But I would be asking if guest could feed them - just once a day dry&wet food
How do think this would be recieved? Do you think it would be allowed?
can you foresee any problems?
Does anyone else host and have pets at home
Many thanks
Nope, wouldn't work for me as a guest. And those cats are going to pay you back with a proper swift scratch with freshly-sharpened claws. If you want a cat sitter, this is the wrong website, @Catriona24.
@Catriona24 I wouldn't advise you to put any part of your pet's welfare and health in strangers' hands.
@Catriona24 I wouldn't trust a complete stranger to take care of my pets. There was a story posted on here a while ago where someone did this, and the person never fed the cats. Luckily, they were okay, but I wouldn't rely on a guest to do this type of thing. There's noting in Airbnb's rules from preventing you from doing it if you want to - just make sure you're super clear in your listing that it's a condition of booking - but I would recommend it.
@Catriona24 That seems to me like a very inappropriate thing to ask of guests. It would be like asking a guest to babysit while I went to the store.
