How can I change the room type on my listings?

Hi All,

I have incorrectly listed our B&B rooms as entire home as they are all in separate buildings, but they need to be 'private room' as no kitchen facilities are available to them.

I've checked other discussion points but can't seem to find anything with instructions to help.

Many thanks

Deborah

@Deborah177  Is it possible that your listing is more accurately an entire house since the guests do not share space with you?  I don't think travelers will expect a kitchen since you do not list it as amenity.  However, you could add a bit more explanation of each space including adding descriptions on your pictures for each space.  I notice the price differences for the 4 listings and also that one listing did not have internal pictures.

Perhaps, to help you understand who chooses to be your guest, you could remove Instant Booking for a while and related to each booking request to ensure the traveler understand your unique space.  Find out if they feel mislead about the kitchen.  It could be that you are concerned for no reason.

Hello, @Deborah177.  Go to your Calendar and on the left a list of editable sections slide out from the left.  Go to Basics, scroll to Listing and select appropriate room type.

I am glad to be able to help, but perhaps you could also search the Help Center for any procedural concerns.  Sometimes you have to use different search terms, but usually you can get an answer right away.  Good luck!

Hi Linda,

Thanks so much for your prompt help. I had searched the Help Center but hadn't found a reply that suited in the first pages I checked - probably needed different search words!.

I've been back into out listings as you explained and everything was correctly listed as 'Private room', but when I go into View Listing/Overview it still states 'Entire home/apt' which isn't the case. I've been into the Help Center again but can only find suggestions that I relist all the rooms. Is this the only way out as this has been incorrect from the start and now summer bookings are coming in people are expecting their own kitchen but we are B&B only.

Many thanks for any further help/advice.

Deborah

Hi Linda,

Thanks so much (again!) for your help.

I've changed the descriptions to help avoid any possible misunderstandings for the time being.

One of the listings doesn't have internal pictures as I'm currebtly working manically at finishing the renovations for when it's due to be open mid-July. As soon as it looks right, the photos will be up there.

Thanks again

Deborah

Hi @Deborah177   What you might do with the unfinished listing is "snooze" it until you have it ready to book.  You can snooze by going to your manage listing where you edit and you will see a box at the bottom that has "listed" in it.  Changing to snooze temporarily takes your list from the search so you don't have to be so stressed.  Just a thought.  Really love your "casitas" as we say here in the southwest of the US.
