Twice now I had to input a 4 digits code I received by email. Login in as usual with email and password wasn't enough. The message was "we want to make sure it's really you".
Of course it's me. It's always the same IP.
Onc occasional check is acceptable, but I had to do this twice in a row!
Please tell me how I can opt out of this tedious system.
Hello @Alain3 Maybe it is yet another experiment of Airbnb's? We already know we have been experimented on - hosts may have different settings, options and so on. Maybe you are yet anothor guinea-pig? I have never had to enter any security code on Airbnb. Elsewhere - yes. On booking.com any change of IP or computer results in getting a code to verify yourself.
Thank you Marzena. Well, if it's an experiment, I hope the experimentator reads this : it doesn't make me feel more secure, it's only making me feel annoyed.
And I'm still using the same PC from the same location! The only changes are the occasional updates.
