How do hotels in Los Angeles get an exemption from home share registration?

I have a small hotel that I list via Airbnb.  I'm getting pop up messages constantly on Airbnb telling me to register my listing with Los Angeles City otherwise I will get delisted November 1.  However as a hotel I don't need to register since I'm allowed to do short-term stays anyway.  I'm trying to figure out how to get this exemption processed so Airbnb and the City of Los Angeles don't start penalizing me.
