How to buy gift card in UK

I'd like to buy a couple of gift cards for my friends but I don't have their emails...aren't there any other ways of purchasing them?

Best gift ever, @Lauren101! I am in Canada, and right now we cannot purchase gift cards. They are available, says the site, only in the US. So be warned if someone from the US answers and says, "It's easy. Just go to the Help Centre." They will spell it Center, but whatever 🙂

So I think there might not be a way, but I'm all ears if someone has a solution. 

You can give gift cards in the UK if you have the email address of your recipient? That gives me hope that it will happen for us, too.
