How to charge beds in a shared room

Hello everyone! (This is Barbara writing)

I am a bit desperate now sitting for hours and not finding a solution. So my situation: I have to 2 shared bedrooms one with 3 beds the other with 2, I want to sell the beds, so I did a listing for this 2 rooms. I wanted to sell the bed for 9 euro per night so if you book two beds it is 18 euro per night and so on.

Now I receive a booking, he booked 4 beds for two nights and payed in total 18 euro.

My question is: is there any box or something I can click so the future guests pay per bed or do I have to do a listing for each bed?

Looking forward for you responds. Thank you Barbara

@Filip78 you need to set up a base price for one person and next add extra fees for each person that books and here is how

https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/1507/how-do-i-add-a-fee-for-additional-guests-to-my-listing

But make sure to clarify how many guests are per booking when communicating with them, many guests might try to sneak in extra guests.

Hm @Ana1136  ... I am not sure but it seems @Filip78  runs something like a hostel where you can book one bed, I can book another bed and we will share the room even though we are not in the same group.

I am not sure how to set it on Airbnb.... and is it even possible... try to browse for a hostel type of accomodation and figure out how they manage it.

@Branka-and-Silvia0 yes that might be the case but I don't know how to set that up either. Maybe it is better to just let groups book per room. Or maybe she could make it really clear in the description that people only get the bed in a shared room although I am sure someone will get confused no matter how clear it is.

@Branka-and-Silvia0

You can set up 2 different listings with "Listing type" as "Shared room" on both.

@Filip78

you didn't understand us and you didn't set it right.

You have a listing "А bed in a shared room in Vegetarium guest home" for 9€ FOR THE ENTIRE ROOM with 5 beds! So when one person book one bed your calendar will be closed for the entire room and nobody will be able to book another bed.

If your price is 9€ per bed and you have 5 beds in one room, then you have to set 5 listings with 5 calendars with a price of 9€/day. Each listing should be advertised as a "shared room"

You also have another listing for another bedroom "The Family nest" in Vegetarium Eco Integral Home" . This room has 3 beds for up to 4 guests for 30€ per day, regardless if it is just 1 or 4 guests. If you want you can set the price for 2 guests and then +x€ for every guest up to 4 guests.

Here is another aspect to this problem. I am listing shared rooms as well. And after a bitter exprience where I ended up getting paid 9 euros for 2 people where it should have been 18, I've learned about additional guest fee. Anyways, here comes the fun part.

I am located in a summer season location so my prices are different for almost every month and even different within the same month due to festivals and such.

So the price for a bed in a shared room varies from 8 euros to 15 euros within the same room according to which month guest want to book for.

Airbnb lets me identify one flat rate for the additional guest regardless to their arrival dates.

We've exchanged a few mails with the help centre to solve the issue but it did not work. So now i've made an avarage of 13 euros extra per additional guest for this room but this is not fair neither for the guest nor me as sometimes they end up paying more and sometimes i end up getting paid less.

I simply want to equilize the additional guest fee to my listing fee.

Can any of you guys can come up with a solution?
